You want to use weights to help you work the shoulder. It is probably the most common area for people to get injured, so it is crucial that you be careful. That said, there are a few exercises that are best for this area.

The first exercise for the shoulder that we will look at is the barbell press. You will want to start out with a weight that is close to what you would use for a normal weight bench press. As you get stronger, you can increase the weight so that you feel comfortable when you are doing it.

This is a good way to work out your shoulders. The barbell press is very simple and easy to do. You just hold the bar with both hands and push your chest up. You can also use dumbbells and they will work the same way.

Another option for a shoulder workout is the cable row. This exercise works the shoulder area just like the barbell press does. You will hold a cable row bar on either side of your upper arms. You will then lower yourself down and raise your chest up.

The barbell row is similar to the regular cable row except you use a lighter weight. Just remember, if you use too much weight you could injure yourself. You should not hold it for more than ten seconds or you will burn yourself out.

Next, simply pull yourself up using your body weight and then lower yourself back down. You can also use a band if you want to add intensity to the workout. Remember to keep your feet and hands on the floor. 

Another simple option for a shoulder workout is the dum-dum machine. This machine is designed to target the upper chest area. However, you do not need weights. You will hold your body against the machine and then try to lift yourself up.

The more pressure you apply to the shoulder, the better the workout is. The only thing that you will need is a mat on the floor for comfort. You just work the muscles with the help of the machine. It will burn a lot of calories because of the effort you put into it.


These are some of the best exercises that you can use to work your shoulders. No matter which one you choose, you will be able to get a great workout. If you only use machines, you will not get a good workout, but if you use free weights, you will get a better workout.
