How To Choose The Best Resistance Bands

In the beginning, you must remember not to be too harsh. Start with the lightest band that you can stretch completely. If you feel that your body is unable to take the resistance of the band, switch to a lower level of the band. Usually, the lightest band in the pack is equivalent to a 5-pound dumbbell. On in-depth analysis, you find that a dumbbell doesn’t exercise your biceps throughout your workout. You feel the weight pulling down on the way up, but on the way down, the dumbbell is practically helping gravity to be down your hand.

Thus providing a comprehensive workout for your biceps. You must try going 10 repetitions with your resistance band. Once these 10 become easy enough for you, try doing 15. Some Exercises To Kick-start Your Resistance Bands Workout

It is important as the lower body has larger muscles and can take up larger stress, whereas the upper body is not the same.

We can divide the body exercises into 4 circuits, the upper body, the lower body, abs, and the advanced plank circuits.

You can either do an exercise from all circuits on a day. You can also dedicate a day to a particular section of the body.

Lower body – Standing Side Taps

What to do – step into the band and pull up your band to the ankles. Remember to uncurl it properly, so it doesn’t cause abrasions on your skin. Push you’re naval to your spine and stand with your feet shoulder apart such that you are in half-squat position with the booty stretching back. Now tap your right leg to the right with your left bearing the tension of the stretching band.

Similarly, do it with the left. It becomes a cardio exercise of sorts as it doesn’t let you take tests between taps. The exercise improves your calf muscles and lowers hip muscles while improving lower back posture as well.

This way, you can design your exercises using the resistance band for different sections of the body.
